Road Race Thursday The 34th annual Canada Day road race, sponsored by PT Works, is on tap Thursday morning. Entry fee is $20 and registration takes place from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the start location on Memorial Drive.

Canada Day wouldn’t be the same without the annual road race. For the 34th straight year, the race will be held and it’s now sponsored by PT Works. Entry fee is $20 and registration takes place Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The North Bay Minor Girls Softball Association held its annual fun tournament on the weekend. Investors Group won the bantam/midget division with a win over Mike’s/Macs.

The North Bay Skyhawks mini camp starts today at 5 p.m. at Pete Palangio Arena. The club will be on the ice for a two-hour practice. Two more are scheduled for Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to noon.

Skyhawks holding mini camp The North Bay Skyhawks will be holding a mini camp June 26-27 at Pete Palangio Arena for players born between 1984 and 1989. There will be three two-hour sessions and players can register at www.skyhawks.ca.
