NDA Track and Field Championship

A West Ferris speedster has once again captured the title as the Fastest Man in the NDA. Ken Peroff ran a 11.80 time in the 100 M Sr. boys final, edging Chippewa's Jamie Stamler by 0.2 seconds. Peroff also captured first place in the Sr.

Peroff also captured first place in the Sr. Boys 200 M race as well.

Matt Walters of West Ferris was dominant as well capturing three NDA track victories, winning the 800 M, 1500 M and 3000 M races in Sr. Boys.

Jamie Stamler may have lost the 100 M final but the Chippewa athlete came up big for his school, winning the Sr. Boys High Jump and 110 M hurdles.

Northern's Jesse Burman was a multiple winner taking home first place in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump.

Brian Guy of West Ferris won the Sr. Boys Shot Put and Discus events.

Meantime in the Sr. Boys 4 X 100 M relay, Chippewa upset the favourites from West Ferris, as Tyler Couchie, Jamie Stamler, Matt Bahm and Derek Malkowski upset the foursome of Dustin Anthony, Phil Dampier, Dean Tester and Ken Peroff from West Ferris, edging the defending NDA champs by 0.5 seconds.

Simard dominates again

It was another dominant day for Algonquin's Tanya Simard who took home first place three events, the 100 M sprint, the Long Jump and Triple Jump in Sr. Girls action.

Simard's teammate Abby Callahan won the Sr. Girls 800 M and 3000 M events.

Kaytlyn Faucon of Chippewa won the 400 M and 400 M Hurdles in Senior Girls.

Katie Weston of Widdifield came up big for her school winning three Sr. Girls events, the Discus, the Javelin and the Shot Put.
