Centennial Public School will be hosting a Hockeyville fun day on Tuesday, March 13th. Parents and children are all invited to play floor hockey in the gymnasium and make a visit to the computer lab to vote for North Bay as Hockeyville.

Canadore College Athletics in conjunction with the Panther Athletic Council is pleased to host the 38th Annual Awards Banquet, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Best Western, Lakeshore Drive. Cocktails will begin with a cash bar at 5:45 p.m.

NORTH BAY – Skaters from the North Bay Figure Skating Club once again had a very successful event at the 38th Annual Make it a Date to Skate invitational skating competition held at Memorial Gardens March 9-11th.

The West Ferris Wingate Jr. Skyhawks Atom AA squad hosted the 2007 NOHA Tournament of Championships this past weekend at the West Ferris arena. Our Jr. Skyhawks finished round robin play in third place with 2 wins and 2 losses.

Out of the medal round at the Women's National Volleyball Championships in North Vancouver, the Lady Lakers moved on to the consolation round.

The North Bay Skyhawks continue to stumble as the Soo Thunderbirds blanked the Skyhawks 5-0 on Saturday night at the Steelback Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The www.cbc.ca/hockeyville website indicates that North Bay has made the Top 5 in the 2007 Kraft Hockeyville competition. North Bay joins Ontario submissions Cornwall and Noelville in the top five along with Smithers, B.C. and Warner, Alberta.

North Bay hockey fans will be on the edge of their seats while watching Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. The Top 5 announcement is expected to be made after the first period of the Tampa Bay Lightning vs.

Chris McKay's powerplay goal midway through the third period broke a 1-1 tie as the Soo Indians handed the North Bay Skyhawks their fifth straight loss with a 3-1 victory Friday night in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
