The West Ferris Subway Peewee Hockey team came home from an exceptional outing this weekend in the Bell Sensplex House League Championships in Kanata. In the first game Subway came out firing with a 7-4 win over the Kingston Action.

Omischl wins world cup title
For the second time in four years North Bay's Steve Omischl has won the Freestyle FIS World Cup championship thanks to a win in Sunday's World Cup event in Penticton, B.C. Omischl's 12th World Cup gold medal was also his first in Canada.
