Canadore College Athletics held its 38th Annual Awards Banquet March 15th at the Best Western on Lakeshore. Award winners were honoured for their achievements and dedication to Panther Athletics in the 2006/07 school year.

Scott Faulkner scored an unassisted goal midway through the first overtime period to break a 2-2 tie and lead the Skyhawks to a 3-2 victory over the Abitibi Eskimos at the Jus Jordan arena in Iroquois Falls Wednesday night.

The rumours of OHL hockey returning to North Bay are getting to the North Bay Skyhawks and the club’s General Manager wants to try and set the record straight.

North Bay Hockeyville team officials are urging North Bay residents, friends and relatives to try and double or triple their personal vote total this week. “Vote until you’re delirious,” exclaimed North Bay Hockeyville team leader Chris Dawson.

The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs begin on Wednesday night for the North Bay Skyhawks as head coach Darren Turcotte leads the Skyhawks against his former team the Abitibi Eskimos.
