The Mount Allison Mounties’ six-foot-five forward Doyle Anthony received All-Canadian status as a Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) basketball all-star for the 2006-07 season. Doyle was a first-team ACAA all-star and led his Mounties to a 17-4 record, a second-place conference ranking, and a bye into the ACAA semi-finals this year. He finished second in all-star voting and over the season he averaged 18.6 points a game, shot 67.6 per cent from the floor, and grabbed 7.3 rebounds per game.

Anthony is a former North Bay and Northern Ontario first-team all-star from West Ferris Secondary School. In 2004, his final high school season, he was an MVP there playing under the mentorship of coach Larry Tougas. In Doyle’s first year at Mount Allison, he was selected as the ACAA Conference Rookie of the Year, and as a second-team league all-star.

Doyle is currently enrolled in third-year Arts and majors in history.
