The Chippewa Raiders rebounded from a game 1 loss to defeat the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears 5-2 on Saturday. The NDA hockey quarter final matchup is now deadlocked at a 1-1 in the best of three series.

NHL Deal not done -- Season remains cancelled

Omischl captures first world cup gold of season

Trappers take game one of playoff series

The North Bay Trappers took a bite out of the Valley East Cobras Friday night, sliding by the Sudbury area Snakes 5-4 at Ray Plourde arena. Adam Avison scored the game winner in overtime to break the 4-4 deadlock.

The Hockey News is reporting that the NHL and the NHLPA have agreed in principle to a deal which includes a $45 million dollar salary cap. However, "The Score" is reporting that the NHLPA has denied the report.
