The defending NDA champion West Ferris Trojans opened up with a 53-39 victory over the Widdifield Wildcats in the NDA Senior Boys Basketball season opener for both clubs on Tuesday night.

The WFRA Novice Ring Rockets participated in a ringette tournament over the weekend in Sudbury and claimed the silver medal. The team went 2-1-1 in round robin play and advanced to the finals on Sunday morning.

The Widdifield Sr. Boys basketball team traveled to Sudbury this weekend to compete in the 12-team Jaak Valiot Memorial tournament. The Senior Wildcats went undefeated - winning all 5 of their games to capture the championship.
