The Algonquin Barons advanced to their fourth NDA junior football final in as many years with a hard-fought 26-21 victory over the West Ferris Trojans Saturday afternoon at É.S.C. Algonquin field.

The North Bay Hilltop Junior Blades Minor PeeWee ‘AA’ hockey team took home the gold medal on home turf in the 25th annual West Ferris Early Bird Tournament last weekend.

The Nipissing Alouettes got back to their winning ways on Friday night as they got by the Brock Bucks 5-3 at the Sturgeon Falls Arena. Justin Huycke and Dan Madigan scored twice for the winners while Robin Mendelsohn added the other.
