Als top Bucks

The Nipissing Alouettes got back to their winning ways on Friday night as they got by the Brock Bucks 5-3 at the Sturgeon Falls Arena. Justin Huycke and Dan Madigan scored twice for the winners while Robin Mendelsohn added the other.

André Leclair also had a big night as he added four assists while Mendelsohn chipped in with two.

Stanislav Shcherbakov, Scott Baker and Myles Mitchell scored for the Bucks.

Pat Beaudry picked up his fourth straight victory in goal making 20 saves. Nikolajs Zurkovs took the loss making 30 saves. The Als now hit the road on Saturday as they take on the Kings in Espanola before hosting the first place Elliot Lake Bobcats on Sunday evening. Game time is 8:30 p.m. at the Verner Arena.
