POWASSAN, ON. - Brandon Amireault scored 3 times to lead the Powassan Dragons to their first in in their new lair 6-3 over the Minden Riverkings on Friday night.

The Junior ‘A’ North Bay Trappers will be making their triumphant return to North Bay’s Memorial Gardens this Sunday night, September 13, for their home opening match against rivals the Soo Thunderbirds.

North Bay Legion Track Club is hosting it's fall cross country camp starting this weekend on Saturday the 12th, at 10 am at the YMCA. The camp will run until early November at the cost of $20.00 per athlete to a maximum $40.00 per family.

Memorial Gardens was the site for the Nipissing Lakers Blue-White exhibition game to give the coaches a better look at players during in-game situations. Each team was coached by one of the club's assistant coaches.

The Timbit Trappers Hockey for Beginners Registration takes place on Saturday, September 12th & 19th at 10am to noon at Skater Edge on Fisher Street.

The Lady Trojans senior basketball team had a great start to their season Thursday night. The team played aggressive defense causing many turnovers.

The Widdifield Wildcats looked solid in their first game as defending NDA champions as they defeated the Franco-Cite Patriotes 34-0 at Widdifield S.S. on Thursday afternoon.
