The Lady Trojans senior basketball team had a great start to their season Thursday night. The team played aggressive defense causing many turnovers. This style of play resulted in many fast buckets as the Lady Trojans went on to a 73-19 win over Northern Senior Secondary.
Top scorers for the Trojans were Sarah Pledge with 25 and Carissa Poulin with 15.
Lady Trojans coach Peggy Smith says many turnovers were initiated by quick guards Caitlin Meyers, Kally Watmore, and Lucy Millar.
Smith adds that Ashley Zen and Jen Leckie dominated on the defensive rebounding.
