The NDA Jr. Girls Basketball season got underway Thursday on a couple of fronts. The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears were led by Stephanie Jennings 12 points as they defeated the Chippewa Raiders 39-17.

The Fun-in-Fitness Jets U13 Boys Selects soccer team capped off a tremendous year being crowned the North Region Soccer League’s U13 Boys champions with a 10-2-0 record. The team faced Club teams from Sudbury, Sault Ste.

The Junior Lakers Volleyball League is still accepting registrations. This league has been created to give young athletes in grades 4, 5 and 6 the chance to work on their skills while having fun playing volleyball.

MISSISSAUGA, ON. - The Stingers competed in the Provincials this past weekend in Mississauga. This team made up of mainly first year players, were put together only three weeks prior to the tournament.

The Nipissing University Lakers hockey team will hold their inaugural Blue-White game on Friday, September 11, and you are invited, free-of-charge. The game, featuring players competing for a spot on the final roster, takes place at 7 p.m.

The Nipissing Lakers soccer squads started the OUA season a positive note on Saturday. Saturday, the Lady Lakers faced the fifth ranked Ottawa Gee Gees and showed that they can hold their own amongst the leagues elite teams.
