The NDA Jr. Girls Basketball season got underway Thursday on a couple of fronts.
The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears were led by Stephanie Jennings 12 points as they defeated the Chippewa Raiders 39-17.
Emily MacDonell added 6 points for the winners while Amandaa Lebland had 7 points for the Raiders.
In other Jr. Girls play the West Ferris Trojans defeated the Northern Braves 38-21.
Samantha Therrien led the way with 12 points for the Lady Trojans.
