Powassan Dragons win home opener

Dan Madigan, Cody Mackinnon and Zane Pitawanikwat scored the other goals for the Dragons in front of a crowd of close to 250 at the Powassan Sportsplex.

Martijn Oosterwijk got the win in goal for the Dragons stopping 17 shots in the victory.

It was the Dragons first win in Powassan after the Greater Metro Jr. 'A' franchise ceased operations last February after starting the season in Ville-Marie, Quebec.

Owner and now Dragons head coach Lui Ricci got approval from the league to move the club to Powassan during the off-season.
