Organizers of the annual East-West event want to set the record straight. The West Ferris Ringette Association recently announced that they are planning to create an East-West style ringette event.

The Nipissing Alouettes lost a heart-breaking 3-2 decision to the Bradford Rattlers in Greater Metro Jr. "A" Hockey League action Sunday night in Bradford. The Rattlers scored twice in the final three minutes for the win.

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears came home Sunday with a high school hockey tournament Championship. The Bears went undefeated in the Trinity College Invitational tournament in Port Hope over the weekend.

The West Ferris Ringette Association will be holding its first annual Ringette-School Challenge Cup.

North Bay's Steve Omischl continues to lead the World Cup Aerials standings with a second place finish at an event in Deer Valley, Utah on Thursday. During the event Omischl was able to land one of the most difficult jumps to take the silver medal.
