The West Ferris Wings U14 Ringette team won gold at the 22nd annual Nepean Invitational Tournament. The team went undefeated in round robin play starting with a 10-3 win over Gloucester, followed by a 9-4 win over Nepean.

The Norsemen and Valkyries Weightlifting Club team played host to the 2009 Ontario Junior Championship at the YMCA on Saturday.
