Three local teams had their OFSAA championship dreams smashed like a backboard after a Shaquille O'Neal dunk.

St. Joseph-Scollard Hall is participating in the NOSSA 'AAA' Girls Hockey playdowns in Sudbury March 9th and 10th.

The playoffs have begun and the North Bay Junior 'A' Trappers are in good shape for their first round.

SUDBURY, ON - Shortly after defeating the Sudbury Intermediate “A” Lady Wolves 3-1 to even the 4 point series at 2 points, the Sudbury Lady Wolves Midget “AA” hockey team received an inspirational visit from Olympic Gold Medal champion Tessa Bonhomme

GRAVENHURST, ON - Junior weightlifters from across the province met Friday here for the 2010 Ontario Winter Games weightlifting competition. The local Norsemen and Valkyries squads sent a total of nine lifters including five males and four females.

Four North Bay Y Titan Swimmers competed at the Junior Provincials in Etobicoke from February 25 to 28.

TIMMINS, ON - The Just Sports Major Novice AA Blades captured the gold medal at the NOHA Championships this past weekend in Timmins. The Blades dominated the opposition in 4 games, outscoring them 19-2.

KINGSTON, ON - The West Ferris Trojans stayed with the #2 seed Anderson Raiders for the better part of 3 and half quarters but were unable to overcome a late surge and fell 71-56 in their OFSAA AAA Senior Boys Basketball championships opener.
