Four North Bay Y Titan Swimmers competed at the Junior Provincials in Etobicoke from February 25 to 28. Sydney Hughes, Jennifer Leckie, Grace Liritzis and Jeremy Sallie swam very well, with Sydney Hughes achieving two 7th and a 9th place finish for her backstroke and Grace Liritzis achieving an 8th place finish for her butterfly.
The week before that was the Northeastern Ontario Regional Swim meet in Elliot Lake which 3 Titans took part in. Alexandra Campbell achieved personal best times and took home a first, two second, a third and a fourth place finish. Abbey Krajc had all top ten finishes and achieved personal best times. Garrett Ryan had two top ten finishes and 2 more personal best swims.
Congratulations to North Bay Y Titan Dominique Bouchard, who was voted co-winner of the 2009 DIS sports achievement award for her swimming medals at the international British Grand Prix.
