The West Ferris Trojans were knocked out of their medal hopes after a 77-50 loss to the 5th seed Stoney Creek Orchard Park at the OFSAA 'AA' Basketball Championships taking place in Kingston.

Meantime, closer to home, the Northern Braves and Algonquin Barons were knocked back into the consolation round of the OFSAA 'A' Basketball championships hosted by Northern Senior Secondary in Sturgeon Falls.

The host Braves (14th seed) fell to Ganonoque 63-44 Tuesday morning while the Barons (10th seed) lost to Waterford 72-60.
