The Chippewa Raiders boys volleyball team finished off a perfect first day of volleyball action at the OFSAA “AA” Sr. Boys Volleyball championships in Ingersoll, Ontario this weekend by winning four straight on Friday.

The Algonquin Barons captured the NDA Sr. girls basketball title Monday night in a tight 49-45 victory over the Chippewa Raiders, winning the best-of-three series 2 games to 1.

New Liskeard, ON - West Ferris Big Brothers Bantam A Hockey Team downed Temiskaming Shores Miller Paving 2-1 in a thrilling final game Sunday to claim top honours in the 24th Annual Temiskaming Shores Challenge Bantam Tournament on the weekend.

The Canadore Panther Hockey Team competed at the Humber Tournament Nov 17th and 18th. The Tournament consisted of 18 teams (6 pools of 3). In pool play Thursday night, the Panthers defeated University of Toronto (Scarborough campus) 5-2.

The Skyhawks looked like a team desperate for a win Sunday night against the Manitoulin Islanders. The hometown Skyhawks, coming off three straight losses, finally got back into the win column with a convincing 6-1 victory.
