Raiders rolling at OFSAA

The Chippewa Raiders boys volleyball team finished off a perfect first day of volleyball action at the OFSAA “AA” Sr. Boys Volleyball championships in Ingersoll, Ontario this weekend by winning four straight on Friday.
The Chippewa Raiders boys volleyball team finished off a perfect first day of volleyball action at the OFSAA “AA” Sr. Boys Volleyball championships in Ingersoll, Ontario this weekend by winning four straight on Friday.

The Raiders started off the day sweeping Timiskaming 2-0, winning 25-11 and 25-12 for the win at 9 a.m. on Friday. At noon they Raiders grabbed win number two by coming back from a 1-0 deficit to win 2 sets to 1 over De La Salle from the Golden Horseshoe region 2-1; (21-25; 25-20; 15-13).

At 3 p.m. the Raider boys were back on the court to face the host club from Ingersoll. They knocked off the home team 2-1 (25-20; 23-25;16-14).

Chippewa then won their fourth game of the day sweeping Jean Vanier 2-0 (25-18; 25-19).

The win leaves them atop their pool with the perfect 4-0 record heading into Saturday’s playoff round.
