Bulldogs defensive lineman Dave Boyd was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Year as the Northern Football Conference announced its award winners and all-star teams.

Timmins, ON. – The North Bay Major Bantam AAA Hilltop Variety Blades went 1-5 here on the weekend at the NOBHL Showcase. The Timmins Eagles, Nickel City Suns, Soo Thunder and Sudbury Wolves represented the NOBHL.

BLIND RIVER, ON. - Brodie Barron scored twice and Jonathon Aubertin scored the winner late in the third period as the North Bay Jr. A Trappers defeated the Blind River Beavers 3-2 Sunday afternoon here.

The Trappers started the game out strong by scoring two goals in the first two and half minutes, and finished the first period ahead by a score of 4-1.
