STURGEON FALLS, ON. - The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears improved to 2-0 with a tight 24-19 victory over the Northern Braves on Friday.

Ryan Turgeon got the Bears rolling as he stripped the ball from a Braves player and took it back 45 yards to the end zone for the Bears first score.

Peter Feig and Spencer Brooks had the other touchdowns for the Bears in the win.

Anthony Nucara hit the converts after all three Bears touchdowns while Chad Dempsey led the Bears defence with 2 interceptions.

In the Junior game, the score was not as close as the Bears blanked the Braves 48-0.
