The West Ferris Trojans snuck by the Algonquin Barons 37-28 in NDA Senior Girls Basketball action on Tuesday night. Ashley Zen led the Lady Trojans with 14 points, while the Barons Chelsey Tremblay finished with a team high 10 points.

The West Ferris Ringette Association is conducting a logo contest for the 2010 Provincial ‘A’ Ringette Championship Tournament taking place in March 2010 in North Bay.

With a great turnout from the U13, U14, U15 and U16 tryouts, the North Bay Youth Volleyball Club will be offering an u18 female team. The U18 will compete against the very best teams in the province throughout the year.

Bulldogs Youth Tackle Football is turning out to be hugely entertaining for the fans as well as exciting for the players. In week 2 we saw 184 total points scored in 3 games with 9 passing TDs, 12 rushing TDs…great offense.

KINGSTON, ON. - The Nipissing Lakers soccer teams came away with some valuable road points as they made the long trek to Kingston to face RMC and Queen’s respectively.

Timmins, ON. – The North Bay Major Bantam AAA Hilltop Variety Blades went 1-5 here on the weekend at the NOBHL Showcase. The Timmins Eagles, Nickel City Suns, Soo Thunder and Sudbury Wolves represented the NOBHL.

BLIND RIVER, ON. - Brodie Barron scored twice and Jonathon Aubertin scored the winner late in the third period as the North Bay Jr. A Trappers defeated the Blind River Beavers 3-2 Sunday afternoon here.

The Trappers started the game out strong by scoring two goals in the first two and half minutes, and finished the first period ahead by a score of 4-1.
