In OUA weekend soccer action the Nipissing Lakers had mixed results as both teams tied Ryerson but dropped a pair of games to Toronto on their home field this weekend.

The Chippewa Raiders senior boys volleyball team took part in a highly competetive volleyball tournament this weekend in Sudbury. Chippewa played hard and won all 5 games leading up to the finals where they defeated Notre Dame's senior boys team.

LONDON, ON. - In the first three weeks of the new season, the Junior Boys Volleyball team from Widdifield has played in three tournaments and have medaled in all three - bringing their season record to 18-3 including tournaments.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON. - The North Bay Peewee AAA trappers competed in the opening Showcase tournament in Sault Ste Marie this past weekend. The Trappers put in a solid effort coming away with a 2 and 2 record.

NORTH YORK, ON. - The Nipissing Lakers are an OUA expansion team but someone seemed to forget to tell the Lakers players and coaches this weekend.

STURGEON FALLS, ON. - The Franco-Cité Patriotes junior and senior football teams picked up wins on Saturday as they defeated the Timmins High Blues at Goulard Park in Sturgeon Falls.

KIRKLAND LAKE, ON. - The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers lost their 5th straight losing 7-2 to the Kirkland Lake Legion 87's on Saturday night. Dylan Staples scored both goals for the Midget Trappers in the loss as they fall to 1-5 on the season.

NORTH YORK, ON.

The Algonquin Barons junior and senior teams combined for more than 80 points as they defeated the junior and senior clubs from Northern Senior Secondary on Friday. In the NDA Sr. Football contest, the Barons outlasted the Braves 26-3.
