Dragons are finding a way to lose these days in the GMHL. The Dragons lost to the Algoma Avalanche and Deseronto Storm this week. The Avalanche won in a the shootout by a score of 7-6 in Thessalon.

The North Bay Midget 'AAA' Trappers finished with a 2-2 record on the weekend at the Waterloo Golden Puck Tournament. The Trappers beat the host team from Waterloo 3-1 and beat the Ottawa Valley Titans 3-1.

The North Bay North Stars tackled a team from the Department of National Defense on Sunday. The 22 Wing Old Timers team accepted the challenge from the North Stars for a pair of friendly but spirited exhibition games on Sunday at Pete Palangio Arena.

One day after suffering a loss at the hands of the West Ferris Trojans, the Franco-Cité Patriotes got back in the win column as they toppled the Northern Braves 7-2 at the Sturgeon Falls Arena on Saturday evening.
