Dragons are finding a way to lose these days in the GMHL. The Dragons lost to the Algoma Avalanche and Deseronto Storm this week. The Avalanche won in a the shootout by a score of 7-6 in Thessalon.
Dragons are finding a way to lose these days in the GMHL. The Dragons lost to the Algoma Avalanche and Deseronto Storm this week. The Avalanche won in a the shootout by a score of 7-6 in Thessalon. Coach Lui Ricci was pleased with his teams comeback effort falling behind in the contest 4-1 after the first period. Goal scorers for the Dragons were newly signed Sundridge native DJ Wainman with a hat trick, Colton Dow, Marciej Rompkowski and David Henderson adding singles.

The defending GMHL champions had a comeback of their own up their sleeve in Powassan on Sunday scoring 5 unanswered goals in the second period to take a 7-6 lead into the third period and holding on for a 9-8 win over the Dragons.Newly signed goaltender Wil Rohleder releived goaltender Krystof Bojanowski to start the third period. Goal scorers for the Dragons were Marceij Rompkowski and Dave Henderson with a pair each and singles going to DJ Wainman, Dan Atkinson, Kristof Kantor and Adam Mcparland.

Dragons will be travelling to Oro Medonte to play the 77s on Friday and play their Highway 17 rivals the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks 1:30 Sunday @ the Powassan Sportsplex.
