City Police Beat

HOSTAGE SITUATION On the 12th of April shortly after 3 PM it is alleged that a hostage incident took place in a residence on Thelma Av. During this time period it is further alleged that 3 individuals held people at bay with a knife.

ASSAULT & THREATENING On the 11th of April at approximately 9 AM it is alleged that a man struck a woman known to him, within the city. It is further alleged that he then threatened this woman with bodily harm. Csts.

POINTING KNIFE On the 6th of April it is alleged that an argument took place within a residence in the city. This argument escalated to the point where a knife was held by a female and brandished towards another female within this same residence.

WANTED SHOES On the 4th of April during the early afternoon hours it is alleged that a woman forced her way into a residence within the city. At this time a scuffle ensued between this woman and the female occupant.

OOPS On the 2nd of April it is alleged that a 6 year old was playing with the telephone and ended up calling 911 in the city North Bay. Cst.

BOY WITH KNIFE On the 29th of March it is alleged that an argument ensued on a North Bay school bus. This argument continued to the point where a 13-year-old boy took a knife and threatened to cut the other boy’s throat with it.

On March 30, 2007 at approximately 6:40 p.m. two teenage boys were playing in a wooded area near Minto Road and Laurentian Avenue. While in the woods, they discovered what they thought were the remains of an infant child.

KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS On the 29th of March shortly after 2 AM Cst. Daniel Shepstone and Jason Long of the North Bay Police Service were called to a fight on Main St.

MURDER MYSTERY FUND RAISER As a community partner in Risk Watch, the North Bay Police Service would like to advise the media that we will be holding a fundraiser on the 14th of April at the Clarion Resort Pinewood Park Inn.

ASSAULT On the 23rd of March during the afternoon hours it’s alleged that an argument took place between two males while in a business premises in North Bay.
