WANTED SHOES On the 4th of April during the early afternoon hours it is alleged that a woman forced her way into a residence within the city. At this time a scuffle ensued between this woman and the female occupant.

On the 4th of April during the early afternoon hours it is alleged that a woman forced her way into a residence within the city. At this time a scuffle ensued between this woman and the female occupant.

The intruder was attempting to steal shoes from the premises.

Cst. Daniel Shepstone and Stacy Jackson of the North Bay Police attended the call and arrested a woman in relation to these incidents.


Denise LAFRAMBOISE 35 years old of Rose Av. is charged with Forcible Entry, Assault and Breach of Probation. She was held in custody for a bail hearing.


SEXUAL ASSAULT

On the 3rd of April Det. Cst. Paul Trahan of the Youth Section in the North Bay Police Service culminated his investigation into an alleged sexual assault complaint that occurred several times during 2006.

It was further alleged that these sexual assaults occurred on a teenaged female victim.

Rodney BURKE 37 years old of Barnet Rd. is charged with Ss
Sexual Assault and is to attend court on the 15th of May.


STOLEN VEHICLE---ARREST

On the 3rd of April at approximately 9:30 AM, Csts. Anthony Corrente and Andre Berube of the North Bay Police Service received a call re. a suspicious male asking for gasoline near several service stations on Algonquin Av. A Police computer check of the vehicle in question was done and it was discovered that it had been stolen from Manitoba. The vehicle was spotted on Trout Lake Rd. and stopped. The driver was arrested in a high-risk takedown.

Jeremy Lee HOWE 30 years old of No Fixed Address is charged with Possession of Stolen property Over $5000., Possession of Stolen property Under $5000. and he was also wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for Parole Violation. He was kept in custody.


ARSON

On the 3rd of April it is alleged that a fire was deliberately set in a student’s washroom at Centennial Public School at approximately 10 AM.

The North Bay Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire and all of the students were evacuated to Chippewa Secondary School.

The fire loss had been estimated at $8000 however smoke damage prevented the students from returning to school.



$6500 BICYCLE THEFT


On the 31st of March during the early morning hours thieves removed a bicycle from the Canadore College residence in North Bay.

This bicycle is described as a Cannondale “Judge” downhill mountain bike, gold in colour, with a variety of expensive parts on same. This bike has a value of over $6000.
