Leafs fall on Trappers

The North Bay Trappers lost their first game at the Gatineau Kiwanis Midget Tournament Wednesday. They were defeated 2-1 by the St. John's Maple Leafs. Martin Lauzon scored the lone goal for the trappers and Josh Ranger was the Trappers game star.

Trojan girls competitive at New Years hockey tourney

The West Ferris Trojans girls hockey team faced some stiff competition down South. The North Bay girls returned from the St Theresa's New Years Hockey Tournament at the Ice Gardens in Toronto where they finished with a 1-2-1 in their 4 games.

Trappers fall to Sabrecats

North Bay Trappers dropped a 4-2 decision Tuesday night to the Rayside Balfour Sabrecats in Great North Midget League action Tuesday night. The loss drops the North Bay team to 2 games below .500 on the season.

Thunder Bay- The Ontario Nordic Cup Series is underway, and the North Bay Nordic Junior Racing Team led by veteran skier Jesse Winter is off to a fabulous start. The Team completed the event with a silver medal and ten top 10 place finishes.
