NORTH BAY, ON - The Nipissing Lakers men’s volleyball team is pleased to announce its recruiting class for the 2008 – 2009 season. Heading the list of recruits are Adam and Andre LeBlanc from Lively.

Story by Matt Gordon The North Bay Skyhawks won their fifth game in a row Sunday night at Memorial Gardens. The Skyhawks defeated the Sudbury Jr. Wolves 4-1, marking their second victory this week over last year’s finalists.

The first game of this week’s Bulldogs Youth Tackle Football League games at Cundari field saw the Stamps and the Argos put the parents through a see-saw shoot-out battle scoring a total of 69 points as the Argos outlasted the Stamps 36–33.

The Algonquin Barons improved to 2-0 after a hard-fought 20-6 victory over the Timmins High Blues Saturday afternoon in Timmins in NDA Junior Football action.

The Nipissing Alouettes won their second game in as many nights, a 7-4 triumph over the Oro-Medonte 77's at the GMHL's College Showcase in Toronto on Saturday. Justin Huycke led the Als scoring a hat trick.

Roch Pellerin scored 3 times and added 1 assist to lead the North Bay Trappers to a 5-4 victory over the Kirkland Lake 87's on Saturday night at the Community Centre in Kirkland Lake.
