The North Bay Trappers rebounded with a 4-2 victory over the Kapuskasing Flyers Sunday afternoon at the Sports Palace in Kapuskasing. The win evens the Trappers record to 1 win and 1 loss. Darnell Koosees scored twice for the Trappers.

The Nipissing Alouettes got their first victory of the season scoring 8 third period goals on their way to a 17-4 road romp against the Dragons in Ville-Marie on Friday night. The Als got goals from nine different sources.

The Abitibi Eskimos scored 3 times in the 3rd period en route to a 7-3 victory over the Temiscaming Royals Saturday night at the Jus Jordan Arena in Iroquois Falls. Felix Boutin and Josh Clancy each scored twice for the Eskimos.

The much improved Kapuskasing Flyers are already proving they aren't going to be the league's door mat this season as they upset the North Bay Trappers 3-2 Saturday night in Kapuskasing. Adam Marceau and Anthony Trozzo scored for the Trappers.
