Fatal accident in Callander UPDATE with name
Following yesterday’s news of a fatal accident that occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m.,, the North Bay Police Service notified the deceased’s next of kin. The deceased was Mark Samuel, age 39, of East Ferris.

Aircraft join hunt for illegal gill-netters
Illegal gill-netters on Lake Nipissing will now have to watch the skies as well as their nets. A local volunteer group, BAYSAR, (North Bay Search and Rescue) helps authorities in search and rescue missions using their own aircraft.
