As of midday Monday, 17 candidates for North Bay City Council have put their names forward — nominations close Friday at 2 p.m.

'I've never entered a race I didn't know I could win,' says Brousseau, later adding, 'I want to give North Bay a choice.'

Brousseau has been heavily involved in infrastructure projects in North Bay and has been outspoken on the need to bring the proposed community and recreation centre to fruition

'Mistakes were made all the way around,' when it comes to Memorial Gardens 'and certainly, I paid the price for those. But, that facility, I am 100 per cent proud of. I will stand behind that facility.'
