North Bay Trappers improved to 5-2 in the GNML Saturday with a 5-2 victory over Sudbury Nickel Capitals at the West Ferris Arena. The Trappers are currently in second place with 10 points going into today’s (Sunday) action.

The Widdifield Wildcats traveled to Toronto to participate in the Danforth Senior Boys volleyball tournament. The Cats opened up pool play against Riverdale and lost two straight 22-25 and 22-25.

Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin Barons defeated Chippewa Raiders 42-35 in NDA senior girls basketball action Thursday at the ESCA gym. The Barons grabbed a 10-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and led by seven, 20-13 at the half.

Ecole Secondaire Franco Cite Patriotes picked up another win in NDA senior boys volleyball action. They defeated Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin Barons 3-1, 25-12, 22-25, 25-23, 25-9.
