The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears ground game paid off as they defeated the Widdifield Wildcats 30-1 in NDA Jr. Football action on Friday. Using that strong running game, the Jr. Bears jumped out to a 14-0 lead before the first half ended.

The Algonquin Barons gave up 18 points in the first 10 minutes of the game, then came back with 42 of their own to win 42-18 over the Northern Braves in NDA Sr. Football play on Friday afteroon.

The Nipissing Lakers soccer games scheduled for Saturday, October 2 featuring the Nipissing Lakers and Trent Excalibur will be played at Rollie Fischer Field (Behind Memorial Gardens). The women's game will be played at 12:00 p.m.
