Earlier this year we told you about a local woman, Tiffany Hill, competing at the Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Pageant 2016.

See the story here: Miss North Ontario could be a North Bay beauty.

And: Lots of awards for locals

Here is her account.

"Well the past three days have been nothing short of exceptional, life-changing, and empowering! In such a short amount of time I have gained confidence, strength, determination, life long friendships and MANY improved and new qualities that make me a better me! I'm beyond grateful for being accepted as a delegate as this opportunity has opened so many doors for self development and I can't say thank you Cheryl Kozera and all the workers enough for spending countless hours, sleepless nights and time out of your busy lives for the whole year to make MNO possible!

Now everyone I'm sure has seen that stunning evening gown that I was wearing which was actually given to me to use by the amazing Lee-Anne Carew! It gave me more confidence than I could of imagined and in front of over 50 people I stood proudly and said I feel BEAUTIFUL! That alone means everything and I've been waiting for that day for a long time.

The 42 other delegates I now consider my pageant sisters. The relationships we built were ones I'm sure we'll have forever. You all are beautiful inside and out and I learned something from each and everyone of you that I'm taking with me for many years to come!

Now I will be here all day thanking my friends and family because I'm fortunate to have so many amazing individuals around me. But to keep it short. My mama bear Angie Hill and my daddy Jeff Hill because without their guidance over the last 21 years I wouldn't be here. They've taught me to be kind, honest, respectful, driven, and to love everyone around me!

Also my mama has passed down her motherly role and I hope that I can be just like her to my son! They are my biggest role models in my life and I wouldn't be here without them!

I would now like to thank each and everyone of the people that supported me by sponsoring and donating! Whether it was a big or small contribution you got me here today and for that I'm thankful!

Next I would like to thank all the volunteers during the pageant! From Motivational speakers to runway boot, makeup and hairstylists, we all were shining bright on stage because of you! It means the world that you took time off work to come and help us make these days even more memorable!

Final night I was brought forward on stage as a runner up for Miss Photogenic! I have discovered a new passion of mine, modelling, which I'm hoping to look into in the very near future! Thanks Chelsee Taylor for the outstanding photos! My pageant days are far from over and In the months and years to come I plan on attending the Miss Heartbeat in October 2016 which is held in Timmins, and also participating in the Miss North Ontario 2017 pageant!

I want to end with something all of us ladies learned this weekend that is also something we know Is true! No matter what it is you want to achieve in life it is 100% possible if you believe in yourself! So dream big and go get get because you're more then worth it! Thank you very much!
