Ontario Provincial Police news release: (North Bay, Ontario) Members of the North Bay Detachment want to warn the public about a large hole in the ice in Lake Nipissing approximately 1 mile from shore near Martin Marina (off Lake Nipissing Road).

Death toll rises for more than 345 in Mecca stampede

Reports this morning indicate that more than 345 people have been killed in a stampede that happened during a Muslim ritual today in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The stampede occurred during the symbolic stoning ritual known as the hajj.
