The Wallace Family from the Westwood Hills Snowmobile Club in District 5 (near Woodstock,ON) has been chosen as the 2008 OFSC Volunteer Family of the Year.

Along with their award, Kurt and Sam Wallace and their six children, Rob (15), Jodie (14), Kurstin (12), Zachery (9) and the twins, Luke and Seth (6), have received a four-night, three-day snowmobile getaway courtesy of the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, Ontario’s Near North, and Digital Video Productions, Snow Goer Media, and Snowmobiler TV.

Recognizing that the Wallace’s volunteer contribution to snowmobiling is a true family endeavor, the OFSC worked with the tour partners to adapt what had been a saddlebag tour for two to accommodate riding opportunities for the entire family from February 1st to the 4th.

A crew from Snowmobile Television and Snow Goer Magazine will be on site to record the experience for an upcoming show.

A special thanks goes out to Best Western North Bay, www.bestwesternnorthbay.com and Sunset Cove Lodge, Callander, www.sunsetcovelodge.com for hosting the Volunteer Family of the Year.

A big congratulations to the Wallace Family!
