Third man arrested in robbery

City police have arrested a third man in that "empty your pocket" robbery in April.

Police say that on Saturday, April 29th, at approximately 3:30 a.m., three men entered an apartment on Fourth Avenue East, uninvited, and assaulted two male occupants.

They demanded that everyone inside the apartment empty their pockets.

After collecting the victims’ personal items, they fled the scene. The two victims were taken to the North Bay Regional Health Centre to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Yesterday, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Michael MacKay Matheson, aged 21, of North Bay, with:

  • one count of break, enter & commit robbery; and
  • two counts of forcible confinement;

Two other men are already facing charges in connection with the robbery.

James Arsenault Jackson and Shaquille Neil Sutherland were arrested on May 4th. 

Matheson was released with a court date of August 8, 2017.
