Northgate Shopping Centre has partnered with Kids Help Phone (KHP) to kick-off the first-ever CHECK-IN! initiative with activities and donations in celebration of National Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

This inaugural partnership aims to raise public awareness of mental health issues facing youth and foster a positive impact.

“Northgate Shopping Centre is thrilled to collaborate with Kids Help Phone to engage with the North Bay community and promote mental health as a priority," says Emily Gauthier, Marketing Manager.

"This initiative serves as a great reminder that even simple gestures like checking in with family, friends, and yourself can make a big difference.”

As described in its name, the CHECK-IN! initiative encourages everyone to check in with one another while emphasizing the significance of self-care in maintaining personal well-being.

Throughout the remainder of the year, the initiative will feature a variety of activities taking place both online and at Morguard shopping centres nationwide, including Northgate Shopping Centre.

"It is part of our goal to support and enhance the overall well-being of the communities we serve," said Gauthier.
