Police: Threat caused lockdown

All employees were safely evacuated and the investigation is ongoing

City police issued a statement this evening.

"On the 19th June 2018 at approximately 3:40 pm employees of City Hall received messages from a male containing threats towards himself and employees of City Hall. City Hall was placed under lockdown as a precautionary measure. All employees were safely evacuated and the investigation is ongoing.

"North Bay Police will be maintaining  a police presence at tonight`s Council Meeting to ensure the continuous safety of the public."
