FAIL TO REMAIN DRIVER CAUGHT On the 3rd of Oct. at approximately 3 AM it is alleged that two motor vehicles were involved in a collision near Lakeshore Dr. and Marshall Ave. One of the drivers fled the scene and Csts.

On the 3rd of Oct. at approximately 3 AM it is alleged that two motor vehicles were involved in a collision near Lakeshore Dr. and Marshall Ave.

One of the drivers fled the scene and Csts. Sue Solman and Ken Ayres of the North Bay Police were called.
A short time later the officers located a suspect nearby.
Stanley SUTHERLAND 30 years old of Cochrane is charged with Impaired Driving, Refusing Breath Test and Fail to Remain. He is to attend court on the 1st of Dec.

DANGEROUS SHOPPER

On the 4th of Oct. at approximately 3:45 PM it is alleged that the Northgate Mall security called the North Bay Police in regards to an irate intoxicated man.
Csts. Doug MacIntosh and Mark Ethier of our Service arrived and located the man in question. He was arrested and when searched found to be in possession of a flick knife.
Clifford ACHNEE PINESKUM 30 years old of No fixed Address is charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.
He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

DANGEROUS SITUATION>b?

On the 4th of Oct. at approximately 11:10 PM it is alleged that a senior was leaving the Capital Centre with his wife and as they were standing by his vehicle in the 100 block of Main St. E. he was struck to the side of his face with an egg. This had been thrown from a passing vehicle. The man’s face was cut and it is believed that if he had not been wearing glasses the injury would have been more severe.

STRANGE AND AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR

On the 1st of Oct. it is alleged that someone broke into a residence located in the 100 block of Marshall Av. E. At this time it is further alleged that the home had been ransacked and nothing had been taken. This incident was not reported to Police.
On the 5th of Oct. while the owner and two children were sleeping in the upstairs portion of the home, someone entered once again and this time cut up a couch with a sharp object and turned over a 6’ bookshelf. Later at 12:30 AM, one of the children got up and noticed the damage and the North Bay Police were called.

ASSISTANCE

The North Bay Police Service would like to seek the assistance of the general public in regards to a recent Press Conference that was held here last Friday.
This Conference was given by Coroner Dr. Ian Cowan and Dr. Jim Chirico of the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit concerning the recent Nipissing District deaths where the drug Fentanyl was found within the deceased persons.
Our Service would seek any information from the public in regards to the illegal usage of this drug.
