WEEKEND Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 192 calls for service that resulted in 14 arrests. Offences included assault with a weapon, domestic assaults, assault police, thefts, impaired driving and public intoxication.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
On March 9, a domestic situation resulted in a woman being struck in the face with a ski causing serious injury. A 21 year old man was arrested and charged with Assault with a weapon, mischief, and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Jeff Warner is investigating.

ASSAULT POLICE
On the 10th of March at 4:55pm North Bay Police responded to a disturbance on Main St E where they arrested a man for Mischief. The man resisted arrest, made attempts to kick one officer and head butted another. Peter Quenneville, 37, of Main St E has been charged with mischief, assault police, resist arrest, and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

THEFT X 7
At 5:40 pm on the 10th of March, North Bay Police attended Northgate Square where they took custody of a woman that had been arrested by security. It was alleged that she had kicked a security guard in the face and a search found stolen property from 7 different stores. Kyla Martin, 28, of No Fixed Address was charged with 7 counts of theft under, assault, fraud under, and breach of undertaking. She was held in custody for a bail hearing Cst Steve Chabbert is investigating.
