WEEKEND Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 195 calls for service that resulted in 10 arrests for offences that included, assaults, domestic assaults, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 195 calls for service that resulted in 10 arrests for offences that included, assaults, domestic assaults, impaired driving, breach of court orders, and public intoxication.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISIONS
On Friday between 9AM and 8PM there were 16 vehicle collisions in the city. Thirteen of the collisions occurred in a 3 hour period between 3:23pm and 6:14pm. These collisions coincide with the heavy snowfall on Friday and the volume of traffic on the afternoon commute.

BREAK AND ENTER
On the 24th Feb between 8:30am and 12:00 noon a residence on Bloem St was entered by forcing the back door. Jewellery, US cash and some change was taken.

ATTEMPT BREAK AND ENTER
On Friday at 11:00pm a woman in her Fifth Ave home with her 2 yr old in bed, heard a knock at the door but did not answer. The next morning the screen on the window to her child’s bedroom had been removed and the window was open. No entry was gained. Cst Bruce Whitehead is investigating.
