WEEKEND Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 177 calls for service that resulted in 18 arrests for a variety of offences that included, assault with a weapon, robbery, assault, domestic assault, assault police, break and enter, impaired
WEEKEND
Over the weekend the North Bay Police responded to 177 calls for service that resulted in 18 arrests for a variety of offences that included, assault with a weapon, robbery, assault, domestic assault, assault police, break and enter, impaired driving, theft, breach of court orders and public intoxication.

ROBBERY
On the 08th Apr at 12:10 AM a woman attended a bank on the 200 Block of Main St E to make a withdrawal. Another woman was already inside the bank area watching. Once the withdrawal was made the second woman attacked the victim and took the money. The victim was then struck in the neck and her debit card taken as well. The assailant fled the bank.

Within half an hour, police responded to report of a theft at a Worthington St E address. A woman fitting the same description had gone to the residence, wanted sex from the male occupant, then took the man’s wallet from his pants. At 01:02 AM Courtney Martel 25yrs of Wyld St was arrested at First St at John St. She has been charged with robbery, and theft under $5000. She is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. Csts Bruce Whitehead and Roger Drolet are investigating.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
At 5:52 PM 07 Apr a man in a bar on Delaware Av became upset with other patrons. When a bar employee attempted to restrain the man he was struck several times with a pool cue. When police arrived the man became verbally abusive then punched one of the officers. Richard Auger 56yrs of Delaware Ave has been charged with assault with a weapon, and assault police. Cst Gerry Martin is investigating.

THEFT AND UNAUTHORIZED USE OF CREDIT CARD
On 21st Mar Cst Steve Carleton entered into an investigation of a stolen purse that contained credit cards. Subsequent use of one of the credit cards has led to the arrest of Amy Taillefer 29yrs of Galt St. She has been charged with theft under $5000 and unauthorized use of credit card.

BREAK AND ENTER
Overnight between 06th and 7th Apr a trailer at a transport yard was entered and a quantity of meat product stolen and stashed in the bush nearby. At 11:27 AM employees located the stash and 3 males preparing to haul it away. One male was apprehended and the other two fled. Ivan Seguin 42yrs of no fixed address is charged with break enter and theft. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing. Cst Jeff Warner is continuing the investigation.

BREAK AND ENTER
Between 12noon and 1:00 PM on the 08th Apr a residence at Parkwood Villa was entered. Jewellery and a quantity of prescription drugs were taken. The drugs are identified as; Epival, Zanex and Percocet. The North Bay Police are issuing a caution that improper use of any of these drugs can be dangerous and possibly life threatening. BREAK AND ENTER
Between 3:00 and 4:00 AM 08th Apr a business on Imperial Rd was entered by prying a window. Items stolen include a CCM bike, an Xbox, a quantity of beer, and liquor. Cst Gerry Martin is investigating.

At 10:34 AM 08th Apr police responded to alarm at a business on the 1300 block of Fisher St. Entry had been made and a small amount of change was stolen before the audible alarm caused the culprit to flee. Cst Ross Lingley is investigating.
