BACK UP LEADS TO ARREST

On the 25th of Sept. at approximately 1:30 in the morning an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police stopping a vehicle on Highway 63 called for backup from the North Bay Police Service.
Csts. Steve Taylor and Greg Dix of the North Bay Police Service attended to back up the officer. At this time it is alleged that a passenger within the stopped vehicle attacked the city officers and had to be pepper sprayed in order to stop the violence.
Ryan MATHIAS 26 years old of Winneway Quebec is charged with Assault Police and was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK & ENTER

Overnight on the 23rd of Sept. thieves broke into 29 boats were broken into and ransacked at the Callander Yacht Club. At that time they stole 5 flare guns and flares leaving other property behind.
