SAFETY CAUTION

The North Bay Police Service would like to caution the motoring public that is driving on Second Av. West and Third Av. West near Mother St. Bride School.
Due to the various road construction within that general area, some motorists are using the parking lot of this school as a drive through.
This parking lot is used for the school buses dropping off and picking up children as well as for students who are walking to school. This creates a dangerous situation and motorists are reminded that this is private property and that the safety of the students are paramount.

INVESTIGATION COMPLETE

On the 25th of July a man was bitten by an unmuzzled pit bull while outside at work. It is also alleged that this same dog bit another person and a smaller dog on the 5th of Aug. Again it is alleged that this dog was not muzzled.
On the 17th of Aug. Cst. Ken Ayres of our Service executed a warrant within the city and seized the pit bull and turned it over to the Humane Society.
The owner has been charged with 7 counts under the Provincial Dog Owner’s Liability Act.
