The Nipissing Alouettes have proven so far this season they can hang with the big boys in the GMHL. On Friday night, they won their first game of a tough three game road trip, a 6-4 decision over the GMHL finalist Lakers in Innisfil.

The Widdifield Wildcats defeated the Northern Braves 25-4 Friday nite. The win puts the Cats to 6-0 on the regular season, the first undefeated seson in school history.
