The West Ferris Trojans spotted the Algonquin Barons a 21-12 1st quarter lead and outscored their opponents 65-24, to win going away 77-45. Sam Levac led the Trojans with a 22 point performance.

The Nipissing Lakers are back on the ice in full force in anticipation of a fresh start in the New Year.

The Chippewa Senior and Junior Boys Basketball teams played a double header Tuesday evening in the Raider Dome. In the Senior game the Raiders dominated the entire game winning 69-29 over the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears.

The West Ferris Senior Boys Trojans basketball team defeated ESCA 54-40. Sam Levac and Cole Addley led the way with 14 and 12 points respectively. Charlie Hancock added 9 points for the Green and White. Eric Huard led the Barons with 19 points.

The Junior ‘A’ Trappers look to continue their climb to the top of the NOJHL Eastern conference this Sunday January 10th when they take on the Soo Thunderbirds. The last time these two teams met the Thunderbirds managed to come out on top.

This six week program consists of both the technical and the tactical development for athletes in a fun-based program every Sunday beginning January 10th, 2010.

Jr. A Trappers forward Will Laporte is leaving the NOJHL team to play for the non-sanctioned Powassan Dragons of the Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League, a source close to the Dragons team told BayToday.ca on Sunday night.
